If you're not already familiar, The Armadillo World Headquarters (affectionately called the 'Dillo) was a legendary 1,500-capacity Austin music hall and beer garden located at 525 1/2 Barton Springs Road. Operating from August 1970 to January 1981, it bridged the gap between counterculture hippies and traditional rednecks, cementing Austin’s reputation as the "Live Music Capital of the World".
